Аннотация: в статье обозревается суть текстуального толкования нормативных актов и дается краткий экскурс в историю явления в разрезе профессиональной биографии судьи Верховного Суда США Антонина Скалиа. Проводится краткий анализ современных тенденций к толкованию закона либеральным и консервативным альянсами судей Верховного Суда США.

Abstract: in the article the textual interpretation of the regulations is surveyed and the author gives a brief excursion into the history of the phenomenon in the context of professional biography of the judge Antonin Scalia (US Supreme Court). A brief analysis of current trends in the interpretation of the law by the liberal and conservative alliances of the US Supreme Court is also given.
